I can't wait for Spring, for no snow, and the sun to shine every day.

iced americano

As for February...
I'm pledging to take vitamins.
Drinking copious amounts of water.
Stretching, sleeping more and reading regularly.

We all have our vices and I'm entirely dependent on coffee. But without them, where would be the need for to do lists. And god knows how much I love to do lists.

Midsummer Night's Dream salad and an iced americano at The Bourgeois Pig in Lincoln Park.

The Story of Us- Taylor Swift (lyric video)

I have to admit that I was never a Taylor Swift fan until I realized her songs pretty much touch every person in some way or another. She seems to live the life of us all. Crazy right. Now I see why people love her so much. I'm not sure if this song is my favorite but it meant the most to me...

Never Aging

At 20, I must admit that I'm already so interested in anti-aging products. It's never too early to start. I receive my daily dose of Chanel emails about new products and for those who aren't signed up, I would advise you do so. I came across this intriguing product- Chanel Sublimage. This incredible anti-aging remedy has ingredients that come all the way from the mountains of Madagascar and the Himalayans... how awesome! The Golden Champa flower, the core of the Sublimage product, is used in many traditional medicines to rejuvenate the entire body. I only have positive thoughts about this product and can't wait to get my hands on it.

The Swim Shop

At this point I have no clue where I will be for spring break. Maybe the Bahamas, Florida, or even home to CA. It's a bit nerve racking to say the least... considering it's in about a month. I'm in the midst of my bathing suit craze right now and I love Free People's swim shop. What I love most is how Free People styled their looks- chunky, layered jewelry, simple cover ups and the option of staying neutral or bright bright bright. Check them out here.

Love the one your with

February has already been a long and emotionally draining experience, and it is only the 8th! In hopes to turn this once dreary month into something great, my anticipation for Vday is rising. I cant say that I love surprises but I am excited for the unknown adventure.

roses are pink. not red.

The days when I stayed away from pink are over. I'm buying a new pair of rose colored glasses and there's no turning back.

The Heroine

Amid the chaos of that day, when all I could hear was the thunder of gunshots, and all I could smell was the violence in the air, I look back and am amazed that my thoughts were so clear and true, that three words went through my mind endlessly, repeating themselves like a broken record: you're so cool, you're so cool, you're so cool. And sometimes Clarence asks me what I would have done if he had died, if that bullet had been two inches more to the left. To this, I always smile, as if I'm not going to satisfy him with a response. But I always do. I tell him of how I would want to die, but that the anguish and the want of death would fade like the stars at dawn, and that things would be much as they are now. Perhaps. Except maybe I wouldn't have named our son Elvis.

This is the winter of animal prints, black, neutrals. The classics... it makes me think summer will be a fantastic display of form fitting, structured, mix and match color.
