The Final Goodbye

The last exquisite, yet small collection by the infamous Alexander McQueen has made its debut. The collection was viewed by an exclusive audience in a little Paris salon over the past couple of days. To put it bluntly, it is remarkable and a perfect reminder of McQueen's talent, which will be missed. The collection is a mix of intricately woven fabrics, hand painted gold feathers, and folded fabrics. Simply beautiful. The location, models, and the designs take you back in time to the fifteenth century. McQueen's inspiration? Hieronymus Bosch's, Garden of Earthly Delights. The painting depicts the history of the world in a three panel oil medium of vivid nude imagery. McQueen's collection is fashion and artwork combined with a mix of modern and historical inspirations. Pure genius.
