Check out Umphrey's Mcgee at Liberty Hall this Wednesday, tomorrow! Tickets are on sale now for $20.50 or $25.50 the day of the show. If you haven't heard of them, Umphrey's Mcgee is a mid-western band who has taken it to the next level with their new album, Mantis. The band uses a unique mix of guitar and vocals, along with a jazz-funk feel that gives their country-rock band and even more unique feel. The name of their new album,
Mantis, comes from an insect with a huge range of vision, and is consequently the symbol of the band. I think this might be one of the main reason's why I like them so much. They lay far from any sort of generic music scene. The album is all new material never performed so this show should be a lot of fun. Go!
